Description

Grounded is a practical Islamic framework for living with clarity, resilience, and purpose in an age of distraction. It helps Muslims reconnect with their faith in ways that are honest, balanced, and lived — shaping worship, character, work, family life, and inner stability. Grounded is not about escaping the modern world, but learning how to stand firmly within it, with faith that is steady, thoughtful, and practised.

Grounded {Teens} is a carefully designed 10-week programme that helps teens develop a clear, confident, and balanced understanding of Islam. In a time when young people are navigating conflicting messages, online influences, and social pressure, Grounded provides a steady framework for making sense of faith in the modern world.

The course introduces Islam as a complete and integrated way of life — bringing together belief, worship, and inner character. Rather than focusing on debates or abstract theory, Grounded helps teens understand why Islam teaches what it does, how it is practised, and how it shapes everyday choices.

Grounded is rooted in the classical Sunni tradition and inspired by the balanced approach of scholars such as Imam al-Ghazālī. Alongside sound belief and practical worship, the programme gives attention to sincerity, intention, and moral awareness — areas essential for long-term faith and resilience.

What the 10-Week Programme Covers

Over ten weeks, students explore Islam in four connected blocks:

Foundations of Belief (Weeks 1–2)

Teens explore why faith and guidance matter, the limits of human reasoning alone, and the core beliefs of Islam. These weeks also directly address common modern doubts and questions around religion and Islam — including scepticism, moral relativism, and challenges encountered online or at school — in a thoughtful, age-appropriate way. The aim is not debate, but clarity: helping teens develop a confident, grounded understanding of belief that can withstand confusion and pressure.

Practice and Structure (Weeks 3–6)

Students learn how Islam is lived through worship and daily discipline. These weeks cover the purpose of Islamic law, intention in worship, purification (wuḍūʾ and ghusl), prayer, fasting, charity, and pilgrimage — helping teens see worship as structure and rhythm, not burden.

Inner Life and Character (Weeks 7–9)

Drawing from the Islamic tradition of spiritual refinement, teens reflect on sincerity, intention, and common inner challenges such as showing off, anger, and imbalance. The focus is on building self-awareness and steadiness, so outward practice is supported by a healthy inner life.

Direction and Life Planning (Week 10)

In the final week, teens bring everything together by designing a grounded life plan. Using a simple framework that looks at life direction, yearly focus, weekly rhythm, and daily practice, students translate belief and worship into a realistic, sustainable way of living Islam.

What Parents Can Expect

Grounded is not about pressure or perfection. It is about clarity, consistency, and growth. Teens are supported to ask questions, think critically, and develop confidence in practising Islam with balance and integrity. The aim is to equip them with understanding and practical tools they can carry beyond the classroom and into everyday life.
