Event description

The Honourable Margaret McMurdo AC, Chair of QCF’s Board of Governors, invites you to join us in celebration of our state’s stellar philanthropists.

Established by the Honourable Mike Ahern AO, in 1997 QCF has become a much-loved and respected Queensland icon, providing ongoing funding to charities throughout the State, in perpetuity.

The prestigious 2022 QCF Philanthropy Awards Lunch will be held in the main auditorium of Brisbane City Hall on Friday 10 June in the presence of hundreds of Queenslanders passionate about giving back to Queensland including prominent government representatives, community and business leaders as well as incredible individuals who inspire us all to 'make a difference' however we can.

Over lunch QCF's good friend and MC journalist Kim Skubris will invite one of Australia's most vibrant and stylish philanthropists Ronni Kahn AO to the stage to join her in conversation.

Ronni Kahn AO is a social entrepreneur and founder of food rescue charity OzHarvest. Ronni is a passionate advocate and activist renowned for disrupting the food waste landscape in Australia. She appears regularly in national media, serves in an advisory capacity to government and is a sought after keynote speaker. Her mission to fight food waste and feed hungry people is supported by some of the world's finest chefs. Ronni is an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) and was named Australian Local Hero of the Year. Her journey is the subject of a feature film, Food Fighter and her memoir; A Repurposed Life.
