    Event description

Quorum Sense, in partnership with the regenerative regional groups, is hosting two Quorum Exchanges, one in the South Island and one in the North Island.

This South Island Event is for farmers, growers and anyone else who is curious to learn more.

The Quorum Exchange is an opportunity for you to grow connections with other people, our soil, plants and animals and help build our regenerative community here in Aotearoa New Zealand.

This one-day event begins with presentations, a chance to hear from inspiring, knowledgeable speakers and regen farmers. The afternoon will be dedicated to a farm visit. Then we are hosting a wonderful evening event with a panel Q&A session followed by dinner

This event will be jam packed full of great insights, wisdom and information bought to you by the following speakers:

Dr Charles "Merf' Merfield-leader of the BHU Future Framing Centre at Lincoln University will be talking about Soil Health-what it is, what it isn't, how to measure it and what farming practices can improve it.

Katherine Gillespie-coach & facilitator with Growforte- will be talking about Building our Mental Fitness-how it all works and how you can strengthen your mental fitness and resilience.

Dylan & Sheree Ditchfield -Southland Dairy Farmers will take you on their Regenerative Farming Journey from an intensive dairying system to where they are today and how regenerative practices have changed them and their team.

Dylan will also discuss Bale Grazing and data and observations from an AgResearch study done comparing bale grazing to kale crops in Southland.

Clare Buchanan -environmental advisor at Align Farms will provide an update on the regenerative practices they have incorporated into their dairying systems and how they compare to conventional methods.

The farm visit in the afternoon will be to Melissa Scarlett's family dairy farm in Hororata where her and partner Deane Parker are using regenerative practices on their irrigated dairy farm including wintering cows on multi-species crops and bale grazing.

All catering is included in the ticket price with a cash bar available at the evening function.

Come along to share your stories and aspirations with other like minded people.
