Event description

Whether you are a beginner or a Tai Chi master already, these Qigong exercises offer a perfect combination of relaxation and full-body exercise. You'll enjoy reduced stress, a stronger immune system and a deeper awareness of breath and body coordination - as well as deeply effective ways to undo old injuries and strengthen the body!

Taiji Ball is an important method for practicing strength, qi, body and mind taught by Professor Pang Ming. It is a classical method for training internal organs and external muscles, bones to eliminate diseases and achieve fitness. This practice moves the universe's energy into our body. Through the open and close movements, left and right rotation, up and down movements, spine is strengthened; and its internal Qi exercise can drive the whole body to promote blood circulation, help to open and relax the spine, stretching tendons and bones, and achieve a healthy body and mind.

What’s even more important - it is fun 😊

About your teacher:

Angela is super happy to be teaching Qigong at AYU! A wonderful training and healing space.

From a competitive sporting, academic, community minded and spiritual upbringing Angela switched her main study focus to Tai Chi, Qigong, Spirituality and Buddhism in 1987, with a strong interest in health, fitness, mind-training, healing, interfaith exploration and multi cultural appreciation.

A major focus is to help everyone feel better, or at least ease even the most stubborn health conditions with an attitude of “It’s not old age, it’s old injuries!”

Teaching since 1990, Zhineng Qigong teachers then came into Angela’s life in 2000. They focus on traditional qigong, and modern science alongside traditional understandings of the unity and connectedness of all things, especially the energy in nature. She was graded Black in Tai Chi by Master Erle Montaigue, also accomplished a Qigong Master qualification, and has had to put these to good use when facing life’s challenges.

The workshop at AYU will include investigations of moving and still Qigong postures, to help activate healing new and old injuries, strengthen immune system, relaxation levels and increase Qi. They can be done sitting or standing. Suitable for all ages and levels of fitness.

Please advise Angela privately of any health issues that may affect participation, and be in contact with any questions.

Look forward to working together with you!
