QLD AI Hub Townsville - AI + GIS: Insights at Speed

Join us at our next QLD AI Hub Townsville event, AI + GIS: Insights at Speed

What if AI could read the environment around us — not just the web?

That’s exactly what’s happening when AI meets Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

GIS turns location data into maps that show how our world works — from the land we build on to the oceans we explore.

Add AI, and we can now analyse that data at scale: spotting patterns, predicting change, and turning information into action.

🎤 Featuring expert insights from:
🎤 Cherie Malone, Principal GIS Specialist and Founder of CocoTell
Cherie will share insights into how artificial intelligence is transforming GIS workflows, giving us more time to do the fun stuff.

🎤 Marie-Hélène Larouche, MSc - Digital Twin Strategist and Transformation Advisor
Marie-Hélène will introduce how digital twins transform GIS, AI, and environmental data into shared predictive intelligence.

🎤 David Kettle, CEO of Flying Fish Technologies (FFT)
David will share how his company developed and uses underwater drones with AI to map and interpret the sea floor, transforming raw data into insights for marine science and industry.

This will also be our final event for the year, with time for great food, good stories, and networking.
