As we approach the 2032 Olympics, Queensland procurement teams are becoming acutely aware of the obligations and opportunities of this major event and are uniquely placed to significantly progress the pursuit of social impact outcomes through sourcing and contracting activities.

Event Speakers:

Elisabeth Lette – Director, ArcBlue

Elisabeth is a senior executive with a breadth of experience in financial management and governance; strategy and policy development, reform and implementation. Her experience spans across both the public sector and multi-national private sector organisations.

Elisabeth is passionate about the opportunity to deliver greater value to our communities through procurement. She is a recognised leader in the sustainable procurement space and led the development of Victoria’s Social Procurement Framework from policy inception to implementation. This policy has been recognised as a world leading whole-of-government procurement framework, and Elisabeth was invited to represent Victoria at the 2019, 2020 and 2021 Social Enterprise World Forum to present on the policy’s design and outcomes.

Kylie McKinlay – Senior Consultant, ArcBlue

Kylie is a senior procurement leader with extensive experience in all levels of government, complemented with roles in the private and not-for-profit sectors. Recognised for playing a leading role in developing and transforming procurement functions, she is particularly passionate about enabling procurement to deliver benefits to the community with one of her specialties being ESG.

In addition to her procurement experience, Kylie has also been involved in the development and administration of several key grant and community programs, and has been a long-standing Board Director at the Brisbane-based charity Suited to Success. Kylie has recently joined ArcBlue as a Senior Consultant following roles with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), CBRE and Aurizon.

Brett Scott – Queensland Manager, Winya Indigenous Furniture

Brett is a career sales & marketing professional, having worked throughout Australia and overseas. Brett is currently the Qld Manager for Winya Indigenous Furniture, an indigenous owned profit for purpose provider of commercial furniture and fitout services.

Winya creates employment for Indigenous Australians through traineeships in partner manufacturers workshops, and is the only Australian company to be awarded by the United Nations for leadership in Sustainable Development Goals.

Rina Abbott-Jard – Procurement Leader ESG, Suncorp

A sustainability strategist, change manager, thought leader and intrapreneur for all things ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) in the Supply Chain. Rina is a natural but reluctant leader who started corporate life at EDS (HP) London in 2004 with almost 2 decades in Procurement, sourcing outsourced Business Processes, Technology and Innovation predominately in the Finance and Technology sector. Exposure to multiple organisational structures (centre led, distributed, centralised, hybrid) means Rina sees the interplay between the business and procurement and supplier management as critical in creating value.

Dedicated to paying forward, Rina mentors and coaches others to increase their impact and effectiveness to bring significant commercial value to the organisation in a way that will quite simply change the change the world. Rina shares her Commercial Toolkit developed over time with peers and it now includes more techniques to bring ESG into BAU to future proof organisations and support the community that supports it.
