Quantum Meets Series - Agriculture
Event description
Quantum Meets Agriculture
Kia ora,
Join us for a day long workshop to understand what photonic and quantum technologies are and their impact on the agriculture sector now and near term. We’ll consider challenges such as plant and animal health, environmental monitoring and supply chain traceability and discuss potential quantum solutions.
The day will be led by Australia's former Chief Scientist (2021-2024), Dr Cathy Foley. For background, here’s Cathy’s introductory webinar for New Zealanders on 14 July.
For Quantum Meets Agriculture, Cathy will be joined by Dodd-Walls Centre Deputy Director, Science, Professor Keith Gordon, of the University of Otago and the research team focussed on agriculture, as well as Steve Holroyd, Principal Research Scientists Fonterra. They’re eager to discuss the sector’s needs.
