Quantum Meets Series - Space and Sustainability
Event description
Quantum Meets Space and Sustainability
Kia ora,
Join us for a three-hour workshop to understand what photonic and quantum technologies are and their impact on the space and sustainability sectors now and near term. We’ll consider challenges such as GPS blocking, space junk, and environmental monitoring and discuss potential quantum solutions.
The session will be led by Australia's former Chief Scientist (2021-2024), Dr Cathy Foley. For background, here’s Cathy’s introductory webinar for New Zealanders on 14 July.
For Quantum Meets Space and Sustainability, Cathy will be joined by Dodd-Walls Centre Associate Investigator John Cater and the research team focussed on space and sustainability. CEO of Kea Aerospace, Mark Rocket and Climate Scientist Greg Bodeker will also lead discussions about the sector’s needs.
