Kia ora,

Join us to learn what photonic and quantum technologies are and their business impact now and in a few years. We’ll consider challenges faced across multiple industries and discuss potential quantum solutions. The webinar will be presented by Australia's former Chief Scientist (2021-2024), Dr Cathy Foley. Dr Foley led a series of “Quantum Meets” in Australia last year and the White Papers produced are now steering the development of photonic and quantum tech in Australia. Register here.

What to expect:

MBIE’s Chief Science Advisor Dr Gill Jolly will open the session welcoming Cathy and explaining where NZ Government policy lies on the science. The webinar will be presented by Dr Foley, who will explain the technologies and their increasingly critical role in all walks of life – from healthcare to infrastructure. She’ll give an international perspective on the global race for quantum supremacy, and why you should care. Dodd-Walls Director, Prof. Frédérique Vanholsbeeck will outline some of the businesses which have emerged from the Dodd-Walls Centre, their journey and the problems they solve in healthcare, communications and agriculture.

Gain insights directly from the experts driving change and see how photonic and quantum technologies are shaping the future across diverse fields.
