Quantum technology is earmarked as the next big revolution in information processing in the 21st century.  It has been identified as a core technology to aid in many of the UN development goals, with applications to support the transition to a decarbonised economy and address issues of climate change.    Quantum technologies have also been identified as one of the critical technologies in the Australian National Interest and it has applications in many of Fishermans Bend’s key sectors, such as transport and defence. 

But what does that mean for those of us without quantum PhDs?  

Chris Ferrie, notable quantum educator, best selling author and  the co-founder of Eigensystems (developers of the QuokkaQuantum), will give an introduction to quantum computing and explore modern applications for start ups and small business. 

Chris will also showcase the innovative new quantum device, called the Quokka.  Developed by Eigensystems, the Quokka is a low cost, 30-qubit quantum computing system, designed specifically for education and enhancing quantum literacy. 

Light lunch will be provided.

FREE, but registrations are essential.  Session will be followed by time for networking for those that would like to stay longer.
