Quantum Without the Physics
Event description
People have been hearing about quantum computing and its promise for decades. The standard story tells of the mystical quantum realm where things can be in two places at once and objects communicate with each other instantly.
But then, a brave listener asked, "That's not helpful, because I haven't been told how it actually works; how can I add 1 + 1 on a quantum computer?"
In this hands-on workshop, you will be guided on how to program a real quantum computer. You will write a program and send it to a quantum computer to add 1 + 1. No mystery. No physics. This is your springboard into quantum computing.
