Event description

Join us in Sydney for an informal briefing on Quantum Year.

On 8 June the United Nations proclaimed that 2025 will be the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology.

The Australian Institute of Physics and sister organisations around the world have been working under the leadership of the American Physical Society to make this happen.

Now we are planning for a year of activity in Australia, marking the discovery of the laws of quantum mechanics in 1925, and showcasing the impact of this fundamental physics on our everyday lives.

Find out how your organisation can be involved and help us create conversations across Australia about the impact of quantum science and technology, past, present, and future, on every aspect of society including science, culture, politics, industry, philosophy, even sport.

Our thanks to the NSW Government for hosting this briefing. A light lunch will be available.
