Quantum Year briefing, Sydney

The NSW Chief Scientist and the Australian Institute of Physics invite you to a briefing on Quantum Year from 1 pm to 3 pm at 52 Martin Place, Sydney.

The UN has declared 2025 to be the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology.

Quantum science has transformed our lives: lighting our homes, the Internet, fighting disease, and scanning our groceries It underpins discoveries from astronomy to photosynthesis. And Schrödinger's cat has appeared (or not) across popular culture.

We’re inviting a broad range of cultural, political, business and industry organisations to come together and consider how you might use Quantum Year as you plan your activities for 2025.

Quantum Year will:

Educate – Reveal and explain the wonders of quantum science and its impacts on our lives today and into the future.

Celebrate – Celebrate worldwide achievements in quantum science and technology, spotlighting Australia’s pioneering leadership in this endeavour.
