About Quartet 121

Founded in February 2024, Quartet 121 brings together four promising young musicians from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Currently preparing for their residency at the premiere Orvieto Musica Festival in Umbria, Italy, they are being mentored by New Zealand String Quartet violinist Peter Clark.

The quartet features Isaac Shatford (violin) from Christchurch with experience in both orchestral and solo performance, Gabriel Kerridge (violin) from Sydney who has performed with various youth orchestras, Somerset Peede (viola) who studied with leading orchestral musicians in London and Berlin, and Francis Yoon (cello) from Auckland who has developed his chamber music skills through international festivals and collaborations.
