QUEENS OF HEART
A magical night of live music featuring three of Adelaide's stellar singer-songwriters; Jen Lush, Jessica Luxx and Ella Ion. Each will perform a dreamy set with their full bands at the iconic venue, The Jade, in the heart of the city. Invite your mum, your girlfriend, your colleagues and the next door neighbour... this is bound to be an unforgettable experience.
THE QUEENS
- Jen Lush has become one of Adelaide's most popular exponents of modern folk rock, wowing audiences from tiny folk clubs to festival stages. Jen is known for her spacious, emotive vocals, passionate live performances and soaring, starkly modern folk songs that detour into darker pop ballads to hammer on your heart. No surprises then, when her album Let Loose The Beating Birds, was awarded Best Album at the Adelaide Roots & Blues Association Awards for 2022. With a background in dance, theatre and electronica music, Jen continues to push the boundaries of the folk genre both visually and sonically, and along with her exceptionally talented band, is deserved of her accolades and her ever growing audiences.
- Jessica Luxx has been growing a loyal following over the past few years. She is known for her generous and memorable live shows and has become somewhat of a darling of the local indie-folk scene. This culminated in the release of her debut single Heavy Lifting in 2022, followed by The Temple & Alone in late 2023. Alone recently reached the number one position of Three D Radio's Top 20. Jessica's songs resonate deeply with many fans of heart-on-your-sleeve balladry and have proved to be lasting favourites on community radio and personal playlists. Jessica's debut album is slated for release later this year.
- Ella Ion has played in an array of Adelaide bands since she was 15. After picking up Latin guitar at 10, she draws on this influence in the folk, post-rock and country music of her solo endeavours. Ella's debut album, Waiting, is a sublime work of maturity and deft musicality that defies the writer's youthfulness. With the voice of an angel and powerfully insightful songwriting, Ella has been taken to heart by each new audience she encounters. Her second album is one of the most anticipated releases of 2024.
