Join us in celebrating  National Skills Week in conjunction with The Queensland Government and our Event Partners TAFE QLD

The celebration will occur on Monday 25th August 2025  from 6.00pm- 8.00pm .

Set within the vibrant TAFE QLD South Bank precinct, the evening will bring together government representatives, industry leaders, educators, ambassadors and training providers to connect, share insights, and showcase the achievements of the skills and training sector.

Light refreshments will be provided, and business attire is required

The Cocktail style event and forum will provide a valuable opportunity for industry leaders and professionals to network and share ideas.

Please RSVP and provide any dietary requirements or special requests you may have.

The program will include the following:

  • Key Note Address by the Hon.Ros Bates MP, Minister for Finance, Trade, employment and Training

  • Mr Brian Wexham, Chair National Skills Week and CEO SkillsOne Television

  • Panel  Discussion ( Panellists TBA) Introduction and storytelling from an amazing group of people representing the best in skills excellence drawn from Queensland Industry, Queenland Training awards and other VET Ambassadors.

  • Opportunity to connect with VET Stakeholders, industry professionals, SkillsOne team, and others

About National Skills Week

Now moving into its fifteenth year, National Skills Week ( 25th - 31st August 2025 ) will again set out to bring to life the positive messages, highlighting the talents, the skills, the career pathways and the value of apprentices and trainees across Australia to the wider public and employers. The week is dedicated to raising the status of practical and vocational learning.

Past years achieved much, with unparalleled media coverage accompanied by the practical inclusions of over 500 known events taking place across the country delivering engaging and inspirational messages, promoting the VET sector generally.

National Skills Week is an initiative of SkillsOne, who  will once again be driving the initiative working with government and stakeholders to achieve unique and beneficial outcomes, accompanied and supported by unprecedented media coverage.
