Queenstown Women in Tech - Christmas Mingle

QWIT Christmas Mingle - Tech Pathways

When: Monday 23 November 2026, 4pm to 6pm

Where: Sherwood, Queenstown

Cost: Free, thanks to our partners and supporters

Our last event of the year: a relaxed Christmas mingle at Sherwood. You don't need to work in tech to come - plenty of our community don't.

Around the room you'll find people happy to chat about what they do and how they got into it. They're conversation starters, not a timetable. Wander over to whoever sounds interesting, stay as long as you like, or skip it and just catch up over a drink.

Coming on your own, or don't know anyone? Plenty of people do, and this is an easy way to meet a few new faces.

Who you’ll find around the room

• Software development and AI: Jae Huh, Head of AI Engineering, Joyous

• Digital optimisation and eCommerce: Ewa Wick, Product Owner, Website & eCommerce, Skyline Enterprises

• UX and UI design: Ciana Froemming, User Experience Designer, Pace AI

• Change management: Jessica Fryer, Change Management Lead, Westpac NZ

• Business analysis: Sophie Chen, Senior Business Analyst, Skyline Enterprises

• Tech training: Karen Hayes, Regional Marketing, Systems Training & Technical Ops Manager, Bayleys

• Data and business intelligence: Kim Botherway, Data, Systems & Automation

• Start-ups: host to be confirmed

Queenstown Women in Tech is a volunteer-run community with free events through the year for women in tech and women who'd like to be. Bring a colleague, a friend or your partner. Everyone's welcome, newbies especially - come and finish the year with us.

Thanks to Both Brains, Crayon and Microsoft for keeping this event free, to Sherwood for hosting us, and to Jonny James for the photos.
