What is Transpersonal Breathwork?
Transpersonal Breathwork combines a method called ' conscious connected breathing' with mind-body awareness techniques, nurturing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Highlighting the transformative power of conscious breathing, it aims to ease stress, release emotional blockages, and enhance awareness, embodiment, and personal growth. Tailored for mental health concerns like stress, anxiety and depression, it helps understand and release traumas while accessing inner wisdom and empowerment. Transpersonal Breathwork cultivates balance, harmony, and peace in the mind and body, presenting a holistic approach to self-discovery and overall health. Transition Breath's Queer Breathwork offerings are trauma-informed and incorporate holistic psychotherapy principles into every session.
What is breathwork useful for?
Transition Breath's approach delves into the inner self by utilising a holistic breathwork method, all the while observing what emerges within the body and mind. Participants may experience:
release of stress, tension, and stagnant energy in both body and mind;
exploration and resolution of self-limiting beliefs, trapped emotions, and unresolved issues;
connection with one's life force, vitality, and spiritual essence;
support for mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression;
cultivation of empowerment, awareness, and self-compassion;
assistance in processing personal, family, ancestral, and cultural traumas; and
overall enhancement of well-being and acceleration of personal growth journey.
Health and well-being considerations (contraindicators):
Breathwork uses a rhythmic/dynamic breathing pattern for an extended period, giving you access to an altered-state of consciousness. Whilst this breathing practice is safe, certain mental and physical conditions may prevent you from participating in this workshop. These may include people with cardiovascular problems, pregnancy, psychosis, recent surgery, acute infectious illness, epilepsy, severe hypertension or glaucoma.
