Queer Careers Expo

The Queer Careers Expo is Australia's first two-day career expo focused on providing safe places to work for members of the LGBTQIA+SB community.

It hosts up to 60 employers each day, with every employer exhibiting dedicated to providing safe inclusive workplaces for LGBTQIA+SB staff, particularly trans and gender diverse workers looking for a workplace that is accepting and supportive.

With a wide variety of industries available, this expo aims to open career pathways up for the LGBTQIA+ SB community and signpost the safe places to work with employers who walk the walk in a world of temporary rainbow logos.

To make our expo truly inclusive for all, we've incorporated the below accessibility features!

• We have a sensory hour with limited tickets from 10am to 11am on both days as well, with the lights off, minimised noise and fewer people. We encourage our neurodiverse guests to enjoy this quieter hour and to bring along any sensory items for this time period (eg fidgets, headphones ect) along with your resume and questions for employers!

• We have expo buddies! A volunteer program to help you get the most out of the expo. Linking up with an expo buddy when you arrive will mean you get to explore the expo with one of our volunteers who will help you talk to different employers, make connections and ask questions and facilitate conversations with the industries you're interested in.

The Expo will be held at the Ashfield Civic Centre on the 12th and 13th of June 2026.

Open 10am - 4pm on both days. (Sensory hour from 10-11am)
