Register for the photoshoot
A participatory photography project about connection and community.
Queer Friendships brings people together for short portrait sessions with their friends.
The focus is simple: how it feels to be together.
Through these images, the project explores connection, care, humour, and shared presence. It looks at the everyday ways relationships shape queer communities.
You can book a 1-hour photoshoot with up to 3 friends. One person registers for the whole group and adds each friend’s email in the ticket section (optional).
If the time you're interested in is booked out, join the waiting list so you can get a spot immediately if someone cancels.

Date: Saturday 22 August
Duration: 20 minutes
Times available: From 11am till 1pm
Group: 1 to 3 friends per session
Location: Mervyn Fletcher Hall, 81 Dalhousie Street, Haberfield

Fill out the registration form to select your time.
You do not have to answer every question. It helps me create a space where you feel comfortable and represented.
After booking, you will receive about 1 week before the photoshoot:
a short brief about the session
practical details to prepare
a model release form to complete before the shoot

A relaxed, collaborative photoshoot with you and your friends.
No experience needed.It is less about posing and more about:
being together in your own way
small gestures, movement, closeness or distance
moments that feel natural, familiar, or unexpected
You do not need to perform anything. We will find something that feels right for you.
