Nsuo : Ancestral Waters | Beyond the Binary with Janina Nana Yaa

Nsuo - Water in Asante Twi. Water is memory. Water is life. Across West African and Indigenous traditions, water has long been a vessel for prayer, ritual and connection to those who came before us. Like water, we move - fluid, powerful, beyond fixed form. A sharing circle for those who live outside the gender binary, or simply don’t find themselves reflected within it.

Through guided prompts, affirmations and open sharing, we’ll explore what it means to be the ancestors we are becoming - holding space for the joys, the weight and the wisdom of living authentically outside of systems not built for us. You’ll also learn a West African water ritual to carry home - a daily practice for connecting with your ancestors, returning to yourself and tending to your nervous system.

Each attendee receives a complimentary art print.

Raag & Soul: The Self & The Divine with Moushimi Das

Join Moushumi Das for a queer sound healing session. Moushumi is trained in Hindustani classical music and has been singing from the age of 3. She blends her traditional art form with meditation, using sound to quiet the mind and evoke emotion.

Focusing on hymns and Sufi verses set in raag or Indian musical scales, the workshop hopes to bring you closer to your mind and self through music.

Note: Audience participation is encouraged but not mandatory.

Enjoy a shared kai, cup of tea and hearty chats. Fill your cup with warmth and nourishment. Suitable for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free.
