This event has passed Buy Tickets

    Event description

Collage can sometimes be seen as just a 2D art form, but adding texture and depth can add another dimension to a work, offering perspective, depth of field, a greater level of realism and sometimes some trickery of the eye.

Come and explore the possibility of the depths and heights of collage, have a good chat, a laugh and listen to some tunes.

This event will be half social chats with a bunch of like minded queer people and half fun, educational and interactive workshop.
All workshops are taught by queers, for queers.

        Who will be Teaching?

Yianni (he/him) believes in the importance of using creativity to heal ones self, its ability to help us discover things about ourselves, cure boredom, get in states of flow and create work that is authentically an expression of yourself.

Yianni has a background in fashion having worked as a trend forecaster, fashion designer for his own label, and more recently with collage, which he discovered during the pandemic. In doing so he ended up just having fun creating eventually leading him to show at the Postcard Show (Linden Gallery), the Queer My Head show (Dax Centre as part of Midsumma which had a huge impact on him), The Laird Men on Men Show and many more group shows since.  Now Yianni starting to share his love of collage with others to help them realise the possibilities both creatively but also personally.
