Queer Soundbath 16.03.25
Event description
Queer Sound Bath offers a space for queer souls to bathe in the healing nature of sound as a method of meditation and engaging in a communal spiritual practice. These sessions are a tender moment to drop into our hearts and bodies, immerse in collective sound healing, and connect with community.
Guided by Ocean, Malaika, and Danny, this Queer Soundbath is a meditation on gratitude for the present moment. Come melt into shared awareness for this edition of soundbath.

About the facilitators:
Ocean is a non-binary artist of mixed settler heritage, living on the cliff edges of the Merrigong/escarpment overlooking the sea on Wodi Wodi Dharawal Country. They draw from their namesake to create ethereal soundscapes, expressing the fluidity of their experience as a genderqueer human through sound and song.
Malaika Mfalme is a Tanzanian/Australian singer, songwriter, guitarist, and event producer creating on Gadigal Land (Sydney). In their mother tongue Swahili, their name translates to Angel King. Malaika writes immersive and evoking music that focuses on black love, self-acceptance, grief, and the journey of being loved and sometimes lost. Malaika’s music creates a space focused on healing with a powerful message of kindness, acceptance and reflection vibrating through every one of their sonic outputs.
