Event description

Come bathe in a deep sound & meditation journey at our final queer soundbath of the year.

Guided by Ocean and Joe, this Queer Soundbath focuses on rest as resistance. It invites us into stillness as a form of protest to systems of oppression and destruction. When we lay down to rest, we allow the soil to rest, we allow the air to rest, we allow our bodies to recharge with love and kindness.
Ocean and Joe offer this moment of rest in ambient textures and soothing melodies.

Queer Soundbath offers a space to bathe in the healing nature of sound & meditation, and engage in a communal spiritual practice that queers the cis-heteronormative discourse. These evenings are a tender moment to drop into our hearts & bodies, immerse in collective sound healing, and connect with community. We welcome you to come as you are.

When: 6:30-8:30pm, Sunday 17th November

Where: Greenhouse Studios, 8-10 Charles St Petersham

Tickets: By donation (on a sliding scale, suggested donation $30)

Accessibility: Greenhouse Studios hall is wheelchair accessible, but the bathrooms are not. Tickets are limited so there is plenty of space for social distancing, masks are encouraged, we emphasise community care and ask you to remain home if you are unwell. There are rugs, cushions and couches provided in the space.

This event takes place on the stolen lands of the Gadigal and Wangal people. Kaleidoscope Collective pays respects to elders past and present, acknowledging their sovereignty and ongoing connection to land and waters, wisdom and community. We stand in solidarity with First Nations communities and a portion of our profits are diverted towards Pay The Rent. None of us are free until all of us are free.
