Event description

There’s more to being queer than coming out and getting married. Join host Maeve Marsden and an incredible line up of guests for a special edition of Australia’s favourite queer storytelling night, featuring LGBTQI+ staff and students from Western Sydney University.

Vulnerable and fierce, hilarious and heartbreaking, Queerstories celebrates the culture and creativity of the LGBTQI+ community one true story at a time, each guest asked to share the story they want to tell, but are never asked to. Their stories are unexpected tales of pride, prejudice, resilience and resistance.

For the last 8 years, Queerstories has played to crowds big and small across the country, from Mudgee to Murwillumbah, Albury to Adelaide, Brisbane and beyond, with an award-winning podcast featuring an archive of more than 300 queer tales.

Join us on Level 9, WSU Parramatta City campus for an unforgettable evening of storytelling starting at 7:30pm sharp. Discounts apply for group ticket purchases of 4 or more General Admission tickets. Please note there is no allocated seating for this event, and it will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. There will be light refreshments available for purchase on the evening prior to the show and during intermission.
