Quirky Bird Collage

Using printed and found papers, create your own quirky bird or creature. Layering of colours and textures provides interest and detail. Explore colour combinations.

A variety of hand-printed, hand-painted and manufactured papers will be supplied along with watercolour or book pages. Details will be added in pencils or paint markers. Yu may choose to bring your favourite papers from your stash. You might also consider beads, buttons or ribbons for finishing touches.

This process is fairly easy in that you will make decisions about one piece at a time. What shape is the body? What shape is the head? Where will the legs be going? What about wings? What will the beak be doing? Do they need a crest? etc. 

The artist will supply scissors, glue sticks, paint markers, and a variety of papers.

You will take home a completed artwork ready to frame and hang. (You may decide to keep working on it.)
