Information about Quinn:

Please help 5 year old Quinn who has Medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumour. These tumours are super fast growing and brain tumours kill more children under the age of 6 than anything else.

Quinn started school this year and showed no symptoms of illness until 25th March, by mid April she was in Intensive Care at John Hunter Hospital after surgeons were unable to remove all of the tumour as it was on her brain stem.  Whilst in Intensive Care Quinn has also endured Parainfluenza, Picornavirus and Meningitis.

Following surgery, Quinn lost her ability to speak, the use of the left side of her body including palsy to the left side of her face. With intensive therapy Quinn is slowly starting to speak again and regain the use of the left side of her body.

It's a long and traumatic road from here for little Quinn and her family, and  they have the fight of their life on their hands.  This cancer travels through spinal fluid so Quinn needs 6 weeks of Radiation Therapy all over her brain and spinal column before Chemotherapy can even begin.

Chemotherapy will be very tough and Quinn may even have to undertake this treatment whilst staying in hospital to help get her through the side effects.

Trivia Nights:

To help Quinn and her family, we are holding 2 trivia nights. 

3 July 2021 - Carrington Bowling Club - 7:00pm start

7 August 2021- Club Charlestown - 7:00pm start. 

Both nights we will hold raffles and bonus point trivia games.

Tickets:

$25 each + booking fee or $250 for a table of 10 + booking fee. 

If you book a table of 10 you will be able to select the table you want when purchasing tickets. 

If you don't have a group of 10, individual tickets can be purchased, with seat selection available. There will be other groups at the same table but you will not need to play together as one team. You can be separate teams. 

Adult only event due to restrictions at both venues. 

Seating limits: 100 people at Carrington / 200 at Charlestown. 

How your financial donation can assist Quinn:

Quinn wants her Mum and Dad with her as much as she can, which means extra childcare fees for her younger sister, and time off work.

Quinn will also need extensive therapy and help with schooling, along with tutoring etc.

Making positive memories for Quinn, during these difficult times is so important, so she doesn't just remember her childhood as being a cancer patient in and out of hospital, undergoing invasive treatments and surgeries.

Your money also contributes to Quinn's ongoing treatment and medical expenses due to the life lasting deficits caused by Radiation and Chemotherapy. Quinn's family will ensure funds are placed in trust to assist with these expenses and pay it forward where they can so other families can receive assistance. They would also like to be in a position to donate funds to foundations such as Red Kite and other charities supporting brain cancer.
