QUT AMPR Business Breakfast - 22 May
Description
Industry Engagement Event on Strength-Based Resilience and Inclusive Workplaces
Overview of Byron’s talk
Too many service systems fail the people they are designed to help. Drawing on research from the EmployAble project, Byron introduces a new typology of service advocates and a strength-based resilience model, showing how organizations that treat disability as a strategic resource rather than a compliance obligation become better prepared to reduce disadvantage and improve outcomes for consumers experiencing vulnerability.
Overview of Natalie’s talk
The idea of inclusive workplaces is not new, but many organisations still struggle to translate intentions into practical action. Inclusive Change has been working to bridge this gap, pioneering research and using real-world insight to help businesses better understand how sensory environments impact customers and staff. In this presentation, Natalie will discuss the research insights and why sensory inclusion is an important workplace ecosystem consideration.
