QUT Music in Concert, features the work of our talented graduating students, including many familiar faces to Brisbane's local music scene.
1st and 2nd year performances from 5 - 7pm, 8 - 8.30pm and 9.30 - 11pm - QUT Gardens Theatre Foyer.
Graduating student's showcase from 7pm in the Gardens Theatre.

SAM STONE
Samuel Stone is an indie rock and indie folk recording musician originating from the vibrant music scene of Brisbane. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Paul Simon, Elton John, and City and Colour, Samuel Stone crafts a unique sound that blends heartfelt storytelling with captivating melodies that compliment the emotions of the music
THE GRAVEYARD CLUB
The Graveyard Club is a Brisbane-based alt-rock band that wants to kick in the door on the local scene. The Graveyard Club offers brutally honest perspectives on emotionally charged experiences paired with lush vocals and a variety of rock styles. Their debut single “Hateful Appetite” releases November 3rd on all platforms!
HOPE MORRISON
Hope is an indie-folk singer/songwriter studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Music) and Education at QUT. She is currently part of QUT's auditioned acapella choir as a secretary and loves singing jazz, as well as showcasing original work. She also conducts primary school choirs and has a passion for teaching young people to express themselves through music.
AMY MARKS
Amy Marks is a 21-year-old Brisbane-based singer songwriter creating emotionally fuelled, authentic indie-folk music to help her navigate life’s highs and lows. Her songs reach out to people finding themselves in this crazy world, wanting to feel as though they’re not alone. Keep an eye (and ear!) out for captivating new music from Amy and be ready to feel all the feelings!
KURAI VERILDIS
Kurai Verildis is an emerging female-fronted 5 piece progressive metal band from Brisbane. The band delves into nuances of mental health and societal issues within their music. These themes are encapsulated through dark introspective lyrics and intricate melodies that create a sonic soundscape.
SAMICHOUX
Samichoux is a songwriter whose mission it is to create a sound that sparks nostalgia and the listeners imagination. With a strong influence from artists such as Stevie Wonder, Brian Wilson and Tatsuro Yamashita from Japan, Sami seeks to infuse old school songwriting and the musicianship from the past to create a new unique mix of elements in his own productions.
MIIMA
"Miima is the alias of the sentimental Brisbane-based artist, Jemima Laag. Stylistically, Miima has a blended Bedroom-lofi sound, intertwining mellow, and dark jazz-infused electric guitars, intimate, romanticised vocals, and a melancholy ambience for the night. If you’re into the likes of Puma Blue, Her’s, Jakob Ogawa Jaysom and Mitski, Miima is a project that is apt for a similar, dreamy listening experience."
BLUE DINER
Blue Diner is an alternative, post-punk shoegaze band hailing from the sleepy suburb of Ashgrove. Incorporating nostalgic 90s sounds, the band writes and performs high-energy and soothing atmospheric tunes. Utilizing both male and female vocals, the band gives cathartic performances not to be missed.
RYN
Ryan Kelly, professionally known as RYN, is a Brisbane based producer and songwriter who blends exciting pop hooks with innovative electronic production techniques. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of genres including pop, future bass, and EDM, RYN's unique sound blends complex feelings with driving beats, soaring melodies, and lush textures to create a unique sound that carries emotional depth.
LOVE STREET
Love Street is a Meanjin/Brisbane based alternative pop band. The project is led by songwriting & production duo Jack Woolrych and Ryan Gordon, performing live with Angus Beeney and Patrick McClement. Love Street plays with genre, exploring influences in bedroom pop and dream pop, pop punk, folk and indie rock. The debut single ‘Deadbeat Boyfriend’ from their upcoming EP is coming soon.
HARPER WREN
Harper Wren is a singer and songwriter creating cozy yet upbeat music with partner and producer, Ethan Wood. Exploring a unique, whimsical blend of psychedelic, pop, indie and electronic music styles, this duo will have you grooving in no time.
THURSDAY MAYBE
Thursday Maybe are a Meanjin/Brisbane based indie-folk trio. Members Annabelle Barnes, Ella Jones and Jemima Laag combine charming lyricism, acoustic textures and heartfelt three-part harmonies to create their signature intimate sound. With upcoming original shows and their first single release on the way, ‘Thursday Maybe’ are a trio to keep your eye on!
DUCK EGG BLUE
Duck Egg Blue is an alternative rock band exploring the emotional spectrum in their colourful and emphatic music. Bringing energy to grungy stages across Brisbane, this eclectic collection of personalities creates a light shade blue worth checking out.
