Why take this short leadership course?

This course draws on social entrepreneurial theory, frameworks and tools that will enhance your ability to be enterprising, develop a growth mindset and increase your organisation's impact. 

Aimed at middle and senior leaders who are responsible for leading a social enterprise, this course will enable you to scale and secure partnerships, improve your knowledge, skills and confidence in securing funding, and grow your connections within the business and social impact ecosystem. Crucially, this course will also provide you with key skills relating to evaluation and impact measurement whilst equipping you with the skills to foster a learning culture, where evaluation is used to prove and improve the impact of your organisation's programs and services.

What we will cover

  • Improve your skills to lead more effectively; including skills needed to persuade and influence people, effectively communicate and to build and manage engaged teams and partnerships.
  • Better understand systems thinking and social innovation to challenge and extend your thinking about what might be possible, what works, and why.
  • Learn how different tools and techniques can help you think and solve problems in innovative and creative ways.
  • Enhance your social enterprise’s performance and sustainability over the long term.

Course structure

3 days (Tuesdays) on November 1st, 15th and 29th 2022. This is a three day program and you are registering for all three days. This program is being delivered in person at The Precinct, 315 Brunswick St Mall, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. 

Cost 

The costs is $250 + gst for all three days, and all other materials that are part of the course. The cost is heavily subsidized by the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training, Queensland

Please note that payment is not required until your registration has been approved. As there are a limited number of places available all registrants will be notified of the outcome of their registration via email as soon as possible.
