RA's Emerging Leaders Program supports and assists our industry's next generation of leaders by providing them with unique networking and learning opportunities as they build their careers.
Hear from one of our members who participated in the RA Fellowship program regarding their career development and skills to advance them to a senior level within the transport and infrastructure sector. 

This is an informal event with no assigned seating to provide an opportunity for the next generation of our industry's leaders to network.

Simon Berry - 2016 Fellow

Simon is a strategic business leader with 30 years’ experience in transport in Australia.
He is an experienced leader of multidisciplinary business groups, projects and teams and passionate about the future of transport. Simon has had first-hand experience collaborating with Transport for NSW and international project partners on the most unique and complex AV project to date in NSW. Simon successfully combined his depth of civil engineering skill with a commercial, strategic and customer focused mindset to bring to market the first partnership of its kind for AV transport in this country.
Simon is highly respected by clients and peers and am known for having a strong focus on developing relationship with clients, partners, and industry players. Simon has worked on multiple award winning and notable projects ranging from a world's first Autonomous Vehicle Trial in Dubbo, the Hunter Expressway in Newcastle, the Pacific Highway Upgrade, the original Sydney Light Rail and Yandhai Nepean Crossing pedestrian bridge at Penrith.
Simon enjoys mentoring and developing the skills of emerging industry leaders in client engagement, design implementation, project delivery and commercial contract performance.
Simon was inducted into Roads Australia's Fellowship in 2016 and was a member of the Roads Australia Fellowship Council where he led the national Fellows Project initiative as well as initiating the Emerging Leaders Program from 2017-2019. Simon was the recipient of the Roads Australia Champion award in 2022.

The RA Emerging Leaders target audience is those under 35 or with 0-10 years of industry experience.

Please ensure you make your booking using the appropriate rate. Bookings from non-member companies that book at a member rate will be contacted and asked to rebook at the correct price. If you are unsure of your organisation's membership status with RA, please contact events@roads.org.au

Refund policy

Cancellations should be notified in writing by email. Cancellations received prior to one week before the event will receive a full refund less 25%. No refund will be applicable for cancellations received after one week prior to the event althougBooking requests submitted less than 48 hours before a Roads Australia event cannot be guaranteed unless you receive a confirmation from Roads Australia. Refund requests must be notified in writing email to events@roads.org.au Refunds requested more than 14 days prior to the event will receive a full refund less an admin fee (3.3% + 88c per ticket). Refunds requested less than 14 days prior to the event will receive a full refund less 25% of the booking total. Refunds requested less than 7 days prior to the event will receive a full refund less 50% of the booking total. Refunds requested less than 3 days prior to the event will not be eligible for a refund due to commitments made with the venue.
