Join us at our next Brisbane Industry lunch on 25 June 2025 with Sally Stannard for an in-depth look at infrastructure planning for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.   

From project delivery and coordination to workforce considerations and service delivery, this event will examine how industry can successfully support the rollout of Olympic infrastructure across Queensland

Hear from Sally Stannard, Director-General of Queensland's Department of Transport and Main Roads and Roads Australia Board Director - who will deliver a keynote speech and take part in a panel discussion to discuss how industry can support the state government in delivering Brisbane 2032. 

Joining Sally on the panel will be Andrew Mahon, Deputy-Director General (Policy, Planning and Investment) at Department of Transport and Main Roads and Leah Kelly, Deputy Director-General, Infrastructure and Regional Strategy | State Development at Infrastructure and Planning.

Sally Stannard | Director-General | Department of Transport and Main Roads

As Director-General, Sally Stannard leads the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR). Sally was Acting Director-General from 5 June 2023 and formally appointed in December 2023, taking on the leadership of TMR's portfolio of work across road, rail, bus, cycling and marine infrastructure in Queensland. 

Andrew Mahon | Deputy Director-General (Policy, Planning and Investment) | Department of Transport and Main Roads

Andrew has over twenty years' experience in transport delivering in strategic policy, regulation, Infrastructure and planning.

Andrew sets the future direction of the transport system in Queensland creating and shaping key strategies, policies and plans for an integrated transport system that supports the safe and efficient movement of people and goods, while driving value for the community and delivering on decarbonisation outcomes.

Andrew's responsibility is to ensure investment across road, rail and public transport, active transport, and freight networks is balanced and part of a single integrated transport network as part of the $37.4 billion program.

Leah Kelly | Deputy Director-General, Infrastructure and Regional Strategy | State Development, Infrastructure and Planning

Leah leads the Infrastructure and Regional Strategy (IRS) group which plays an integral role in leading infrastructure planning and policy to inform government’s investment and delivery of coordinated and resilient infrastructure. IRS also leads the State’s planning and delivery of the 2032 Games Infrastructure program and the Queens Wharf Brisbane development.

She has held senior executive roles in Queensland Treasury, Building Queensland, Aurecon and The University of Queensland, bringing a wealth of public and private sector experience.

Leah is passionate about connecting across the public and private sectors to deliver better infrastructure outcomes, as well as building future leaders in the public sector, where she began her career as a graduate.
