Join us at our next Melbourne Industry Lunch on Thursday 28 August 2025 for the opportunity to hear from Jeroen Weimar, Secretary, Department of Transport and Planning.

Jeroen Weimar, Secretary, Department of Transport and Planning

Jeroen Weimar commenced as Secretary of the Department of Transport and Planning on 27 January 2025. He leads a department that integrates Victoria’s key transport, planning, land, precinct and policy functions, and oversees generational projects and reforms. 

He has held various senior positions across the Victorian Public Service, including CEO for Public Transport Victoria and VicRoads, leading Victoria’s COVID response and, more recently, as Deputy Secretary of Housing Statement Implementation. 

Prior to moving to Victoria in 2016, he completed a post-graduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the London School of Economics and was later Chief Operating Officer of Transport for London.
