The Session
This session touches on the history of steel manufacturing, the current methods of production and Lysaght's journey to Net Zero Steel manufacturing here in Australia by 2050, which shows we can become the world leader in Green Steel. The presentation will show what it took for Port Kembla to become one of the first Responsible Steel sites in the world -  as measured by the global steel industry's multi-stakeholder sustainability standard and certification program, designed to ensure that customers, stakeholders and consumers can be confident that the steel they use has been sourced and produced responsibly.

Eamonn McCabe
One part of Eamonn’s role is BDM to the Residential Construction sector, his remit being to liaise with architects, designers, distributors, fixers, and builders to develop a seamless link between specification and a successful installation. 

Introducing the premium cladding systems AZURE & HORIZON to the commercial sector is the other half of the role. These are 100% Australian designed and manufactured cladding systems that offer superiority in safety, speed, and economy of use. These advantages are paired with a BlueScope warranty and reduced ongoing maintenance.

Eamonn has been part of the Lysaght and Fielders business since April 2024, and brings many years of experience across the finance, hospitality and steel frame industries prior to joining the Design Solutions Group.

With such a diverse skill set Eamonn is well placed to bring the elements of the Supply Chain together to deliver successful results for all the stakeholders.
