Rabbit Bait Distribution Day - Lobethal (24 Feb)

Rising numbers of feral rabbits pose significant threats to gardens, agriculture and the environment in the Hills and Fleurieu region.

We invite people from our community willing to commit to safe, responsible and effective baiting of rabbits to sign up to receive pindone carrot baits. These baits are available to members of the community who have completed the mandatory online training.

1. You must have completed the 'Safe and successful use of pindone carrots for rabbit management' mandatory training.

2. Register your attendance at our distribution day.

   a. Your property must be over 1000m2.

   b. Record the property where baiting will occur not your postal address

   c. Select number of bags to collect, capped at three 3kg bags of carrot bait.

3. Ideally start your three pre-feeds of untreated diced carrot, 3-5 days apart prior to picking up your baited carrots. Your email confirmation will step this out for you.

4. Attend the distribution day to pick up your carrots. Bring a bucket, tub or plastic bags to collect your carrot bait.

*The online training is mandatory for anyone wishing to access baits from Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu. Course completion records will be checked by our staff at the event: no training = no bait.
