Rabbit Proof Fence - NAIDOC Week 2026

Celebrate NAIDOC Week 2026 with a classic Aussie film at the NEW LOCATION: Bridgetown Hub.

The Bridgetown Hub is proud to collaborate with Gulyara Abriginal Corporation from Manjimup in the organisation of this event.

Rabbit-Proof Fence is an Australian drama based on a true story of three Aboriginal girls who escape a government settlement in 1931 and trek 1,500 miles home along the rabbit-proof fence.

Against the backdrop of the Stolen Generations, it’s a visually striking and emotionally powerful tale of survival, resilience, and the human spirit. Praised for its performances, cinematography, and Peter Gabriel’s score, it’s considered an important, moving, and worthwhile watch.

We will share some stories and kangaroo stew on the night,
