9:30am – Registration and morning tea
10:00am – Workshop begins
4:30pm – Finish

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.

Please arrive from 9:30am so you have time to register, grab a cuppa and meet some of the other participants before we get underway.

What to wear & bring

Part of the workshop will take place outdoors in the field, including demonstrations around rabbit warrens and machinery.

Please come prepared with:

Enclosed, sturdy footwear
Long pants
Hat and appropriate sun protection
Refillable water bottle
Clothing suitable for the weather

The ground may be uneven, so appropriate footwear is particularly important.

What to expect

Throughout the day you'll hear from experienced rabbit control practitioners, contractors and experts from the Victorian Rabbit Action Network (VRAN).

We'll look at the different tools available for rabbit control, including identifying rabbit activity and warrens, fumigation, warren destruction and ripping, timing, follow-up and the importance of coordinating control across neighbouring properties.

There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and talk about what you're experiencing on your own property, so come ready to pick the brains of the people who know rabbits!

A couple of important notes

The Toongabbie Golf Club will be closed to the general public for the day, with access limited to registered workshop participants, volunteers and event personnel.

Please follow the directions of workshop staff and contractors during all field demonstrations. Exclusion zones will be in place around operating machinery for everyone's safety.

If you're no longer able to attend, please let us know or cancel your ticket through Humanitix so we can offer your place to someone else and adjust our catering numbers.
