Event description
Join us for an in-depth and hands on training workshop for beginner to intermediate R users, leveraging the extensive knowledge of Dr. Stevie Pederson in R programming, Bioconductor package development and bioinformatics teaching.
The sessions will be led by highly-experienced, Adelaide-based bioinformatician Dr Stevie Pederson (The Kids Research Institute Australia, Australian National University & The University of Adelaide) who has been an R-user for over 20 years. As well as being an active member of the Bioconductor community, Dr Pederson is the senior author of multiple R/Bioconductor packages and was the Co-ordinator of the University of Adelaide Bioinformatics Hub (2014-2020), running training sessions for hundreds of R users around Australia over the last 10 years, in both industry and academia.

As this is an in-person only event and we wish to be as inclusive as we can, HEPA filters will be in use to keep the air as healthy as possible. Those choosing to wear masks will be most welcome. For any ticket-holders who feel unwell when the event is running, we strongly encourage non-attendance and will happily provide refunds.
