Radical Self-Acceptance: A Somatic Workshop
Description
In a busy world that constantly tells us to strive more, do more and be more, self-acceptance is a radical act.
It is an act of self-care, self-compassion and resistance in a culture that profits from our insecurities. We’re constantly told we need to live up to certain ideals and expectations, often at the expense of our relationship with ourselves and our bodies.
As the year draws to a close, join Belinda and Lanie for a three-hour workshop inviting you to pause, slow down and reconnect with yourself.
Through gentle somatic practices, guided journaling, reiki, a sharing circle and sensory experiences incorporating essential oils, we’ll create space to listen to our bodies, tune into what we’re feeling and explore what we need.
We’ll also explore body acceptance, cultivating a more compassionate relationship with the bodies we inhabit, beyond expectations of how they should look, feel or function.
An opportunity to pause, reflect on the year that’s been, and practise acceptance and gratitude for where you are right now — just as you are.
