“When I was in my early 20s, my husband and I moved from the country to the big city with no money, no plan, and a whole lot of optimism. I soon discovered that people didn’t really sit around a campfire and jam together, the way I’d grown up doing with my family. We started a monthly get together with all the people we knew who could play an instrument – regardless of skill level – and we called it the HILLBILLY JAM NIGHT. We had so much fun playing all sorts of folk, Americana, country, and roots music and I’ve always wished I could somehow recreate that feeling and put it in a show. So that is what we’ve done!” – Raechel Whitchurch
