Prepare for a musical journey into the mystic world of Indian Raga.
Join Armando Ornano on the Bansuri flute & Shivam Rath on the Indian Slide Guitar as we delve into the ancient and timeless system of Indian Classical music and the mystical, philosophical world of Raga! Each artist has well over a decade of musical training in the world of Indian music and Rhythm (Tala) and each has spent many moons in India studying with teachers and living within this ancient culture. Bare witness as they come together for the first time on stage in this traditional and intimate setting of dedicated Indian Classical Music and experience the magic unfold before your very eyes as these musicians converse in the universal and transcendental language that is raga music.
6:00 - 7pm : Ayuvedic Dinner: Option (Pre - Ordered with your ticket)
7:00pm - 8:00pm: Starting with individual solo performances
8:00pm - 9:00pm : Jugalbandi Duo set with both artists and accompanying rhythm.
A Friday night to relax, connect, and enjoy great company and good food in a calm, intimate and luxurious atmosphere.

Named at birth Shivam Rath, is a second generation Musician following his fathers footsteps in both the world of Yoga and Indian classical music and since seriously taking up the path is sliding up to be one of Australia’s leading Slide Guitarists. Born into a musical family he has been combining his knowledge and path of meditation into the classically trained field of Music, Mantra and Raga and has now been performing and teaching music across the world for over a decade. As well as writing and producing his own musical compositions, with many tracks bridging, reviving and blending ancient arts, culture, mantra and music into our modern world.
Shivam has studied music directly from some of the worlds top leading instrumentalists including Riley Lee (Shakuhachi) Japanese flute & Indian Slide guitarist Debashish Bhattacharya as well as Tabla from Chota Lal Mishra (former BHU University Professor). He is particularly passionate about sharing his experience and knowledge of raga music and has taught and hosted workshops, retreats in numerous countries and locations around the world as well as multiple tours with some of India's incredibly acclaimed maestros, earning a respect and recognition for establishing himself in this rich and ancient musical tradition.

Hailing from Italy but now an old Byron Bay local, Armando has proven to be a multi instrumental master, adapting his style and sound to suit all musical needs across the vast spectrum of genres. He has studied extensively in India with various teachers including Bansuri flute but also the ancient Drupad drum Pakawach that pre-dates Tabla and can even play the highly difficult Kanjira (hand drum). Over the years his personal sadhana and musical sadhana have naturally combined to give him a clear refined sound that is deep and uplifting and makes him highly sought after in all fields of music.
