Rainbow Beach Spring Fest 2022, September 2nd & 3rd, immerse yourself in this corner of paradise of the Cooloola Coast Area, connect with Music, connect with People, connect with Nature.
This Event is brought to you by the Volunteers of the Rainbow Beach Community Centre Association, we are passionate about Culture, Belonging, and of course great Music. This year we aim to raise $5000 for Marley Fergie, Stu’s (Oka frontman) daughter. This is to comply with a wish expressed to us by members of the Music Family.
Details: Ticketed Event, all ages friendly. There will be a beautiful dancing space, on a big grass outdoor area located in the heart of Rainbow Beach. Food vendors & licensed area, along with basic services. At walking distance from most of the accommodations, with car park. All weather Event.
Location: 32 Rainbow Beach Road, Rainbow Beach QLD.
There will be limited tickets available, as we aim to put on an event in line with Rainbow Beach atmosphere & vibe, and to ensure you feel a stronger connection.
Program Preview: Friday 2nd September from 2pm till 9pm. Meet & Greet, theme “Itchy Beats & Oka Treats”. After a sound bath opening by spiritual musical facilitator, Adam Buchanan you will move into the Rootz Reggae space where the old school Jamaican Sound System will make it impossible for you not to move and dance. We will be shaking our legs with strong earthy vibes, as we used to dance to the rhythm of Oka Band songs. We are doing this, because Stu’s latest project was to take the Sound System back to Country. We will have as special guest Andy V.
Saturday 3rd September attendees will return (same timeframe 2pm till 9pm). The main Stage will be activated for a sweet afternoon of tunes with different Roots, Folk, Blues Artists with Mama Kin Spender, Karl S. Williams, The Lyrical, Aspy Jones, Briannah Grace, our very own local talent Aido, and we are launching Tilly Wright.
Kids under 16 yrs are Free because the younger generation needs more live music in their system.
