This event is held in recognition of IDAHOBT - International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia. On May 17, 1990, the World Health Organisation removed homosexuality from the Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems.
International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia & Transphobia (IDAHOBT) celebrates LGBTQIA+ people globally, and raises awareness for the work still needed to combat discrimination.
Queers Down South recognises its responsibility in promoting the health and wellbeing of all LGBTQIA+ people in the Shoalhaven and endeavours to support all folks under the rainbow umbrella.
