Event description

What is a raingarden? How can they help to keep our city green and cool, while also helping waterbugs in our local streams?

Come along to this workshop to find out about ways we can slow, capture and filter the water running off our rooves and city streets.

We will also talk about the linkages between the health of trees, cooling our city in summer and waterway health.

Learn about how raingardens, wetlands, tree pits and rainwater tanks function to provide these benefits. We will demonstrate how a raingarden works and learn about how waterbugs, fish and frogs benefit when we make use of rainwater and stormwater, instead of sending it down the drain straight into our local creek.

This is a FREE event.

Bookings essential.
