Get rain ready: Join our Rainscaping for Resilience Workshop in the Oxley area.
Join Healthy Land & Water’s Water by Design program for a hands-on workshop that will empower you to prepare your household for rain events. Supported by the Insurance Council of Australia, this 2-hour session is packed with practical knowledge and educational tools to help you create a water sensitive home.
Heavy rain can cause costly damage to your home. In this session, you’ll discover how to implement Water Sensitive Urban Design practices - a smart, sustainable way to reduce the risk of damage to your property and better manage water overflow in your home.
You’ll walk away with:
An understanding of actions that can be taken to reduce stormwater run-off.
Skills to create water sensitive designs (like rain gardens) in your home.
The confidence to act and prepare for rain events.
Hands-on, family-friendly, and packed with take-home tips, this event is designed for residents who are ready to take action and better prepare their property for rain events – starting in their own backyard.
Morning tea and supporting materials will be provided to participants.
