Not sure if you're ready to talk to investors? That's exactly who this online session is for.

Raising capital takes longer than most people expect. The businesses that get good terms are usually the ones that prepared early. You don't have to go to Auckland to do it, either: there are angel investors here in the south actively backing businesses built in this region.

Join us for this FREE 1-hour webinar, hosted by Peter Ramsay, Network Manager, Mainland Angel Investors and Wayne Hudson, Director, whIPit Limited & Flying Kiwi Angels Associate; who will explain how it works, in plain language:

What will you learn:

What angel investors are: who they are, how they invest, and what they bring besides money
Friends and family funding: how it helps early on, and how it can cause problems later
Realistic timelines: how long a raise takes and how to plan for it
What to get sorted first: your plan for the money, your milestones, and your legal and accounting basics
The mistakes that cost people: giving away too much, running out of runway, and choosing the wrong investor
Crowdfunding: when it's a better fit than angel investment

Join via Zoom and listen to a practical talk from two people who work with investors every week. There's time for your questions at the end. There's no pitching, and you won't be put on the spot.
