Raising Children in the Age of Screens
Event description
When Jonathan Haidt’s The Anxious Generation sparked a national conversation about the harms of smartphones and social media, many parents were left wondering—what do we do now?
Most children already have access to phones or tablets, and these devices have become indispensable to modern life. So how can we learn to live with these powerful, useful, and addictive technologies?
Join us for an engaging evening of learning and dialogue as we explore how families and communities can shift our relationships with screens—maximizing their benefits while minimizing their harms. Using insights from psychological science, we’ll discuss strategies for setting limits, modeling healthy habits, and facing these challenges together.
