Raising the Roots 2025

The Massachusetts Avenue Project (MAP) invites you to our 7th Annual "Raising the Roots for Food Equity" fundraiser on Saturday, October 4th from 12pm to 4pm at MAP's Urban Farm & Farmhouse.

Join us for our annual farm-to-fork tasting event, this year celebrating 25 years of the Massachusetts Avenue Project!

Raising the Roots is more than just a fundraiser, it is an opportunity to gather on MAP's beautiful urban farm, celebrate the bounty of the harvest season, and sample delicious treats from local chefs and beverage wizards/witches.

• Chefs offering small bites made with locally sourced produce

• Local beer, wine, mocktails, and caffeinated beverages

• DJ Auntie K with soul and disco tunes

• Take-home farm art activities

• An evening with our little community of butterflies, chickens, and native flowers

Raising the Roots is an all ages event. Adults (21+) will need to present valid ID to receive a wristband for alcohol tasting.
