OAS Paddling Stage 3-4 - Kayak
Venturers, Rovers & Leaders, you may have heard about the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary and mangroves. Our Rakali Garden Island gives you the opportunity to explore that area by Kayak. Come out and enjoy the serenity of paddling along the narrow creeks or the mangroves or exploring the Adelaide ship Graveyard. There is also a possibility of seeing dolphins.
This full day activity will give youth members the ability to complete some OAS elements if they wish, or just have a relaxing day of enjoyment with other youth.
Youth will have the opportunity to:
- work on Stages 3 - 4.
- capsize and get wet (weather dependant).
- develop navigation skills, paddling around Garden Island
PAYMENT:
- Cost: $30 per person, payable at registration
LOCATION:
Garden Island Boat Ramp Car Park, Port Adelaide
SESSION:
The day will consist of a 1 day session:
- 08:30 – 15:00
There are 20 places available.

- Y4 MUST be completed and emailed to abc.paddling-youthsupport@sa.scouts.com.au by the closing date, Friday 7th January 2024
- Adults to supply a completed A4 to the above email address

REFUNDS:
- Are only payable in the event the activity is cancelled by organisers.
- All participants will be emailed on Friday evening 12th January to confirm event is proceeding, due to conditions.
YOUTH LEADERS / ADULT HELPERS:
Registered Leaders of Youth and adult helpers are welcome to join us as well
