ANDREA KIRWIN

For 20 years Australian/Fijian singer-songwriter Andrea Kirwin has been performing on the Australian Folk Festival scene and has built a career through her live shows, her knack for storytelling and her love for her music community. Andrea's style is laid back, giving space for her songs - and voice - to really shine. Performing on Vocals, Guitar, Cigar box guitar and Stomp, Andrea's original songs are written in a range of genres including Folk, Soul, Blues and Roots and World music. Having grown up as the daughter of a Fijian Church Minister, she grew up learning to sing in English and Fijian and practiced singing all through her childhood and teen years, however she only discovered Folk music in her early 20s when she lived in Canberra and first picked up a guitar. 5 albums and 1000s of live shows later, Andrea continues to forge her path not only as a singer-songwriter but also as an agent working to bring incredible acts from overseas to Australia to contribute to the cultural fabric of our society. She also works with Festivals in programming and is invested in seeing the music industry become more sustainable for artists and creators moving forward. Underpinning all of this is Andrea's love of putting music and lyrics together to share with people and using these live music events to strengthen our connections within our community. Andrea is so excited to be bringing Ranagri out to Australia for the first time! Be sure to book tickets and don't miss them. They are incredible!
