Event description

An evening celebrating 25 art filled years, including a delicious BBQ, live music, and art exhibitions. Studio Channel Islands was founded 25 years ago at the site of what was to become California State University Channel Islands. The idea was to create a community of artists that would inspire the students and wider public to learn about the arts. Within a few short years the organization had flourished with 8 artists in residence, regionally significant exhibitions in two galleries, and music festivals attracting thousands of people to enjoy this burgeoning art scene.

Studio Channel Islands owes a huge debt of gratitude to those founders and supporters who gathered the resources and the force of will required to turn an idea into the reality that we enjoy today.
